Tunes

So I don't know why I'm on Kroger kick today, but I happened to go to the store (perhaps motivated by their stellar ad??) a few minutes ago. As I meandered through the aisles I nearly laughed out loud at their horrible and very loud music selection. From Tina Turner to Michael Bolton, the hits just kept on spinnin'. Muzak would have been prefrred.

I happen to enjoy the constancy in knowing that I will ALWAYS hear Tina Turner at the grocery. And for some reason, Tina Turner ALWAYS makes me want to dance down the aisle. What's Love Got to Do, Got to Do with It?

I always go to the same Harris Teeter in Chapel Hill, usually right after work on Monday nights, and almost every time, I hear "Bye Bye Bye." I kid you not. Every time, I think of you and Nellie. :) (One time, there was a middle-aged man dancing to the song by the butter shelf.)

All 3 of you are too weird for words. Thank goodness my only memory like this is of the masterfully reworked instrumental version of Procul Harem's "Whiter Shade of Pale" Elaine & I have heard every single time we ate at China Pearl (aka China Hurl)
